Updates, Updates, and More Updates!

(I'm still adding to this post so keep expecting more!!! It just takes me a little longer cuz I have quite a few interruptions!)
It's about time I do this.....but I lose all motivation when I look at my blog! I don't like my template anymore but when I try to change it, I lose all my widgets on the side!!!! Anyone know how to do it without losing all the STUFF? I want the cute fonts too on my header, but have yet to figure it out. Also, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get a video on this....I use my digital camera for my videos and when I stick the card into my modem, it plays it for me, but anywhere I try to open it, it says i.e. p1021.mov (mov means movie)...anyway that was boring, so here is the update on the King clan.

May 10th
We went and picked up our new puppie.....she is so stinkin cute! We couldn't wait until Mother's Day (yes one day...I know) to go get her so we left on Saturday and picked her up. We went to Jerome to get her and stopped to fill up with gas. While getting gas, this rather NICE couple came up to our car (they saw Roxy) and awe-ing and ooh-ing (sp..??) at her then the nice gal asked if we had a collar for her..we responded "not yet, we just picked her up"...then the nice guy hyped up and said "you better go get it for them".. She ran over to her car and brought us over a ...um... very vibrant tye dye collar for her...Very nice couple and very random...Why can't we have people around us like that anywhere we go...(not for the giving away of things...just the niceness..(Is that a word) it sure makes for a good day and for you to respond to other people that way).... then had to go to Twin so Bill could go pick up a scope from Sportsman's for his gun. So we had quite a long drive for a brand new lil pup. When we arrived home...Bill had the dog on his lap and she started to do some weird gurgling noise....and he threw her to me cuz he thought she was gonna poo....anyway, right when she landed on the towel I had for her..she barfed!!! That was the nastiest smellin thing I've ever had land on me!!! I started to dry heave...ooh (AHH I am dry heaving just thinking of it.! That's how nasty it was.) Anyhoo...She just got car sick and was a little home sick. (we think).
Riley and Madisen LOVE HER! Poor dog, Madi treats her like her baby dolls...she tries to carry her everywhere and makes her lay down, and tries to put her in things... Riley just loves having a doggy friend around again. Even Lily got excited about her. She'd try to grab for her and kick her legs like crazy and flail her arms out of control to try to get her.

May 11th - AKA "Mother's Day"
To make a long story short, it wasn't a very good day besides Riley singing for me in Sacrament Meeting....Bill had "disappeared" for 9 hours and no one knew where he was.....I'll share just a bit of the story...I was in the bathtub and here Lily gagging on something....I get out of the tub and she's eating a green piece of paper that Bill had given her to play with......The outcome.....(beware, this is for no one with a faint tummy)
Told ya!!! The next day, I COULD NOT figure out what was in her diaper!!! Sure enough though....green paper!
(Bill had gone off trying out his newly cleaned gun and had fallen asleep on the side of a dirt road!)

May 16th
We traveled down to Logan to go visit Grandpa David and Gramma Mary. Grandpa had invited Bill and Riley to go to his Father Son outing up Porcupine Canyon. Riley had "a lot of friends" up there and had a blast! Bill hung out with the other Dad's and had an enjoyable time. I believe I got the better end of the deal however (even though the camp out was fun). We hung out that evening and watched Enchanted (was that the name Mary?) and had lot's of goodies! Then Mal decided to come up and go shopping and eating with me!!! The kids had so much fun playing with the Rachel, Katie & Mikaylie and the pup)

Memorial Day Weekend
On Saturday. Bill and Riley went with the rest of his family which included Roger, Merri Ann, Tracee, Uncle Ralph, Aunt Sandra, Tyler, Kyle and Nelson down to Bruneau Canyon for some four bying. (It was way to rough and long for the two little girls to go, so I stayed with them) Riley and Bill got to ride the long journey in Nelsons Jeep and then got to go for a ride on the four wheeler when they got in the canyon. Bill said the road going down in was "pretty crazy". They planned on staying longer but got rained out. Pour Nelson had to ride in his Jeep all alone on the way home and he was soaking wet. On Monday we told Riley and Madi we'd take them swimming at Slaggers in door natural hot springs pool. We did a little house work that morning and went to the farmhouse for Lunch..yuummyy...and headed to the pool. When we got there, the sign said they were closing in an hour....so we broke his heart especially....We HAD to take them to go do something else to have our family time, so we drove to twin falls to find something to do. We ended up going to NAZZ CAR. It had some pretty cool things for older kids and adults to do but they also had a bounce house for the kiddos. Riley had so much fun, and Madi didn't want anything to do with it. Silly Girl.

A Little About Riley - He had his preschool screening a week ago and they couldn't find anything that showed he'd need to go to preschool so he may be accepted as a peer. (Here preschool is only for children that is "developmentally delayed" i.e. speech problems, hearing...ect...they even consider children that can't quite pronounce certain letters developmentally delayed.) I really hope they accept him for a peer...so he can have the social aspect of things before he enters kindergarten. He misses the deadline by a month. I'm alright with that because he's going to be the oldest and further along mentally. He is so dang cute right now....apparently I'm "the best" right now. Here is our conversation.
R- Mom, can I play the Wii when we get home?
M- You have to make sure all your toys are picked up and your room is clean, then
you can.
R- Thanks mom, YOUR THE BEST!
I have to admit, that made me feel good and totally made my day. :)

Madisen's new thing....She will walk around all day holding a phone and this is what she says..... Hi TJ, what ya doing TJ, Bye TJ... It is so funny, and we have no idea where she picked it up....(Maybe from the call on Mother's Day) (I hope you read this TJ, even little madi hasn't forgotten you. :) ) She also thinks that she is 6 years old....some days it's six, and some it's four. She also has a new thing about stripping off her clothes when she comes in the house....or having no pants on outside She is growing up so fast and Bill and I just can't get over how fast it is happening. We find ourselves just watching her play around in the evenings just in awe at how cute and smart she is getting.

I want to share something that was on my sisters blog, and I couldnt help but post it to mine....for I too feel the same way but cannot express myself very well. My sister Andrea's words.

****************To My Mom and My Best Friend*************

I had a conversation with a friend yesterday about how our mothers made Motherhood look so easy. After having a few of my own, I wanted to tell my dear mother how much she means to me and the difference she has made in my life. So many times recently I have caught myself wishing that I lived closer to my mom:

*for her to rub my temples when I had a headache

*for her to be here and wake up with my suffering children in the middle of the night and sleep with them like when they're infants so I can get some sleep

*to be a little more forgiving to my children

*to give the comforting hug of an unconditional loving mother when it's needed so badly

*to make my husband laugh and feel like he is the best thing in this world

*to lend her listening ear to an ever complaining daughter

*to have the 1 person that you know is always on your side.

My mother isn't perfect, nor is any other mother in this world, but I'm telling you...she got something right. She has lived an interesting life and most definately not an easy one. I admire her strong will and desire to rise when times are hard, to pull through and look at the bright side of things, and trying very hard to not complain about the things that annoy her. I believe that looking on the bright side is one of the many great qualities I received from my mother...(along with the 2 other bad ones we talked about last week mom! haha). She doesn't have all the answers and doesn't claim to, but she will be there to help you reason out and make the best possible decision for you. I hear of lots of people say "I never want to be like my mom". I hope if I can become more of someone it would be more of her. She has set the perfect Christ like example of how I want to be for my kids and my grandkids (heaven forbid). I love you, my husband loves you and my children most definately love you. You mean everything to me and I could not imagine my life without you. Happy Mothers Day Mom...I truly love you and admire you and want you to know...that despite all those teenage years YOU MADE A DIFFERENCE IN MY LIFE!!!

Visitors!!

Lily wanted to eat ZOEY!

This past weekend, we had the privilege of having my brother Brian and his wife Mallory and last but not least...there baby zoey up to visit. They came Thursday very late and left Sunday morning. We loved having them come and the kids love it just as much as we do. Despite being woken up every morning around 7 to Madisen crying and coming in our room, I hope they had an enjoyable time. One day Mal and I went shopping (kid free! Thanks Merri Ann) and then we went down shooting at the Infamous John Shaw's shooting range! (Pictures of that coming a bit later tonite!) One favorite thing my family loves to do is eat at the Farmhouse restaurant! Now that's some home cookin for your money! So of course we ate one night there! Went down on the Snake River in the boat......that was cut short due to ummmm hitting the bottom of the river with the prop! Oops...It was very low. Brian and Bill spent a lot of time shooting there AWESOME guns! And last but not least, we gave Mal some major hair extensions!!!! I am having a poll on her behalf! Extensions or no Extensions....that is the question!

p.s. I am going to post all about my little Lily a bit later tonite...for she is now 6 MONTHS OLD!!!! ***SIGH*** How time flies!

UPDATES!!

Here are some updates of the past little while that many of you have been asking for. :)

APRIL 18th: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY WONDERFUL HUSBAND! A Big whoppin 28!. He didn't like this birthday to much because he says he is getting too close to 30. We went out to dinner and a movie on friday, then on saturday, we I had planned a surprise BBQ with his friends at our house, but canceled it because the "weather report" said it was suppose to be windy and rainy. Lo and behold...perfect BBQ weather. Bill decided to go with his bro's and cousins hunting and fishing. His birthday didn't go as planned, so I'm glad he was able to go out and do that all day saturday. I am very lucky gal to have bill as my "man", and a father to our kids. Don't worry hon, I still think you've "got it" even though you're almost 30!. :) xoxox

One of the things he's been wanting were some cowboy boots

Coldstone Cake (yummy) at Grandma Kings House.

April 26th: Boy do I wish I had pictures for this next one!!!
I suppose you could use the word "Redneck", but it was for a good cause. are you ready for this??????

THE ANNUAL "ANGELS & OUTLAWS" ROCKCHUCK DERBY
We did participate in this very redneck contest. Whoever brings in the biggest rockchuck, wins a rifle. 1st-3rd place all win a rifle and if you place further down, you're entered in for a raffle to win the rifle. Bill invited me to participate in this all day adventure. We started the day off with Bill and I in his truck with a walkie talkie talking to Sherm and Kyle in Sherms truck. Well somehow, I ended up driving the truck and Bill was in the passenger side with his gun ready to go....(you can only get away with this is Idaho). It was quite interesting. He does have his concealed weapons permit and we were out in the country in fields, so no worrying. Later that day, I overheard them talking about what they were doing and they came up with a name for the mission we were on....
MISSION : DESERT CHUBBYCHUCK. (I can just hear Rich's Redneck jokes rollin right off his tongue about now....or "you know you live in Idaho" saying....)

THE OTHER DAYS:
Here's some fun pictures just cuz

Madisen would NOT let me get her dressed for the day...She wanted to wear her diaper, her pink shoes, her jacket and my hair scarf...and she would cry and scream whenever I'd try to take the picture...silly girl.

Riley really wanted to make faces with mom so we could put them on here....and.....
I had to put my hair extentions on him....he has such a nice looking face he can really pull it off! ;) (Bill was not happy bout that.)

They enjoy this equally...Riley loves to snuggle Lily , and as you can see, Lily loves it too.

I know this is very long....but YOU wanted the update... :)

OUR TRIBUTE TO PEARL!

Today was going to be a post of our last couple weeks of uplifting, fun blog-worthy stuff....instead, we are very sad, yes that's right, all of us....Our precious pearl passed away today. She was 1 yr and 3 months. It was such a freak accident thing. (remind you all, this is the only explanation as far as the doctor together with us can come up with) Bill takes his dog to work with him everyday and today she was with Bill at work and loaded up into the back of the truck so Bill could go get lunch...when he got to where he was going she jumped out and wobbled around and was just very weird. She laid down and wouldn't move, she wouldn't load up into the truck or anything, she wouldn't even stand up. Bill took her to the vet and they did some blood work thinking that she got into anti-freeze or rat poison. This however was not the case, as the test all came back negative. She was unconsiouse at this time and the vet said she had very low blood pressure. The vet was then thinking that she got hit at some point, however, the x ray came back just fine. Within the hour, our sweet dog passed on. The vet was stumped at what was wrong and asked if he could go in and see if he could see something. He called back and said that her main artery that goes into her liver ripped from her liver....therefor causing internal bleeding. He said that the only possible explanation for this is when she loaded up into the truck she just stretched her body to far. She was the runt of the litter, and maybe had something that didn't form as strong as it should've been.

We all, especially Riley are very sad this evening and wanted to post pictures of our first dog. Riley was in love with her when we brought her home at 6 wks old. He played outside everyday possible. Bill too was very excited because she was just trained and pheasant season is coming up and now he is very bummed. He wasn't sold into the idea of getting a dog, and I sat and begged and begged. Finally he said we can get a dog as long as she can be his hunting dog. He spent hours and hours training her and became extremely fond of his dog. I don't think he thought he could have as strong of a bond with her as he did. Ofcourse I was very excited because we were going to breed her this next heat and have cute lil pups. (We'd however only keep one of those :) ) She was so sweet with the kids and never growled or barked, not even when she was treated like a horse..Riley and madi tried to ride her.

No dog will ever replace her, but we went and bought another dog just like Pearl..German short-haired pointer all liver colored...no pun intended. We will name her Roxey and we get to go pick her up when she is 6 wks old and it happens to fall on Mother's Day.

THIS PAST WEEK AND SOME....

Madisen wanted to pick Lily's outfit for the day, and it happened to be Build A Bear "Lily Bear's" outfit she wanted her to wear.

The kids and I went to Utah to visit my mom for the week. These pictures are from Discovery in the Gateway Mall... It's huge and a ton to do for the kids...they were in heaven....It's a very neat place, but if you ask me....it's a place where I think germy's like to be....and sure enough, later that night, Riley wasn't eating and broke out into a fever, but thank goodness that was the extent of it.

This was Riley's FAVORITE THING about Discovery!

I think they said the helicopter was donated to discovery from the University Hospital??? You could push a button up front that made it sound like it was going to take off. It made Riley really nervous and he kept asking the other kids to turn it off. He didn't want it to take off with them driving it!!! I don't blame him! :)

Wrinkled Thumb

This is Lily's favorite thing to do...SUCK HER THUMB! Even when she is starving and nursing...her thumb and mouth some how meet. She loves to hold a blanky in her other hand. Once I get my video posting under control (help please) I'll have to catch her in the act...She rubs her whole hand across her face until her thumb eventually lands in her mouth...sometimes it's not even her thumb...just whichever finger feels comfy...
It's great right now, not having to worry about finding binkies. I'm nervous however, when we need to take it away....Tabasco Anyone!
